Master’s programmes

A master’s programme is a research-based full-time degree programme that provides students with qualifications for entering a profession or for admission to a PhD programme.

Thus, the overall objective of the master’s programme is for students to further develop their knowledge and insight into the discipline and, on this basis, acquire nuanced knowledge of the theories, methods and core fields of research of the discipline. Furthermore, students will develop their individual qualification profiles in an interplay between their discipline and other disciplines and/or professions.

Students will learn to be critical of their own subject area and to work independently on solving theoretical and practical issues through the application of principles, working methods and other disciplinary perspectives.
